Rebecca is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Rebecca has devoted much of her continuing education credits toward advancing her knowledge and clinical skills for working with students with cochlear implants and/or auditory processing disorders. She has attended the NC AG Bell Conference, the NC Summer Institute, and various workshops such as the Bloom and Lahey Guide to Language Development. More recently, Rebecca has focused on practice administration and supervision to better support the therapists working with her.
In addition to her speech-language pathology expertise, Rebecca is fluent in American Sign Language, able to use Cued Speech, and has conversational Spanish skills. While serving a limited caseload of clients, she is the primary supervisor for therapists and office support staff and oversees referrals, intakes, documentation, and billing.
Outside of work, Rebecca loves reading, watching movies, kayaking, and coaching recreational soccer. She and her husband have three children that keep her very busy with academics, sports, and other hobbies. She also serves on the non-profit board for Camp REACH as Treasurer and on the board of the PTO at Highland Elementary as Treasurer.
